Student Wellbeing

Feeling safe is necessary for healthy learning

The Student Wellbeing program at St Patrick’s School is comprehensive and is underpinned by our Catholic values and positive culture that allow our students and staff to flourish. This includes:

  • An intensive Flying Start Week in early Term 1 each year
  • Weekly social and emotional learning activities teachings in class.
  • Opportunities for Christian meditation and mindfulness experiences

In our teaching approach, we are informed by the:

  • Mind-up curriculum
  • Personal and Social Capabilities of the Australian Curriculum
  • Friendly School Plus
  • Child Protection Curriculum
  • Zones of Regulation
  • ‘Be You’ framework by the Beyond Blue organisation

Other services aimed at supporting individual and collective wellbeing include a school Chaplain, Counsellor, social skills groups and community workers.
