Facilities & Services

Modern spaces and resources for learning and play

St Patrick’s School offers well-planned, modern resources and facilities where young minds can learn and grow with confidence.

Extensive grounds with secure fencing

Beautifully appointed secure grounds provide a safe and nurturing environment for our students.

Play spaces include an oval, basketball court, the hall, two playgrounds and two sandpits.

Classrooms

All of our classrooms have been refurbished in recent years to offer flexible learning zones and breakout spaces.

Computers and IT

We aim to give every child access to the latest technology and the confidence to use it to enhance their learning. All school devices operate with secured wi-fi.

Technology is a tool in every classroom:

Interactive whiteboards in all classrooms.

  • 30 laptops in the Resource Room
  • 15 shared iPads in each Junior class
  • 30 iPads in Years 2-6
  • Laptops in Years 2-6

Modern Resource Centre

Our Resource Centre is a welcoming educational space open to teachers and students at any time during the day for research and digital learning.

It is also open before school and during some lunch times as another play space option.

Sister Mary Mercer Hall

This wonderful multi-purpose facility is available for lunch play times as well as Out of School Hours Care (OSHC).

On days of extreme weather, the hall provides a more conformable environment for PE lessons. It is also used for assemblies, school performances and community celebrations.

Canteen

The St Patrick's School canteen is open Monday, Thursday and Friday from 8.30am - 1.30pm. The canteen follows the "Right Bite" Government Guidelines, which emphasise healthy food and drink options in South Australian schools.

It is operated by a manager with the support of dedicated registered volunteers. We keep prices as low as possible to make purchases more affordable for our families.

Uniform Shop

The Uniform Shop is open  Monday, Thursday and Friday from 8.30am - 10.00am during school terms. If your child needs to try on items for size, please make an appointment by calling 8303 4508.

The shop has a small collection of quality second-hand items. The money raised from these sales directly assists parents in the St Patrick’s community needing financial help with providing new uniforms for their own children. We ask all families to support the School Uniform Policy set by the School Board.

Out of School Hours Care (OSHC)

The OSHC Service is run from the Sister Mary Mercer Hall and provided by Camp Australia, which is responsible to the School Board. You can drop off and collect your children via the Hume Street carpark.

A planned activities program focusing on all areas of child development is offered at OSHC each week.

The Out of School Hours Care service hours are:

Before school care: 7.00am - 8:30 am, breakfast provided

After school care: 3:10pm - 6:00pm, snack provided

Pupil-free days: 7:00am - 6:00pm, snacks provided as appropriate

The Child Care Subsidy (CCS), available to all families through Services Australia may help reduce fees.

For more information, please contact the OSHC Coordinator on 0447 141 518, or Camp Australia on 1300 105 343.

Playgroup

St Patrick's School offers two playgroup sessions for parents with children aged 0-5 in our wider community.

These relaxed and free sessions encourage early literacy and numeracy skills development and help your child form new friendships. Playgroup will also help your child become familiar with a school environment.

Playgroup is help during school terms from 9.30 to 11.30am on Wednesdays and Fridays.

There is no cost to attend playgroup.

Simply pack a piece of fruit for your child to eat at snack time.
