National Reconciliation Week at Our School
During National Reconciliation Week, students across all year levels engaged in meaningful learning experiences to deepen their understanding of reconciliation, respect, and the histories and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
On Friday, we came together as a whole school community for a special assembly to share our learning.
- Reception, R/1 and Year 2 students beautifully performed the Ancient Legacy song, showcasing their growing appreciation for First Nations culture through music.
- Year 3 students created a video sharing their ideas about what reconciliation means to them, offering thoughtful and inspiring perspectives.
- Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 students presented a moving Sorry Poem, reflecting on the importance of acknowledging the past and working together towards healing.
- Year 4/5 students shared a video explaining the 2026 theme, “All In for Reconciliation,” highlighting the importance of everyone playing a role in creating change.
The assembly was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the learning taking place across the school and to reflect on the significance of reconciliation in our community.
We also proudly announced the winners of our Reconciliation Week colouring-in competition. Congratulations to all students who participated—your creativity and effort were fantastic!
Thank you to our staff and students for their commitment to making National Reconciliation Week a meaningful and engaging experience for all.
A Special Visit from Metropolitan Volodymyr
Recently, Christopher and Chloe Papa were proud to be part of a significant and historic occasion within the Ukrainian Catholic community. This marked the first-ever visit of Metropolitan Volodymyr to Australia, making it a very special time for Ukrainian parishes across the country.
During his visit, Metropolitan Volodymyr chose to begin his time in Australia by visiting the Ukrainian communities here in Adelaide.
This visit was a unique opportunity for local parishioners to come together, celebrate their faith, and be part of a historic event for the Church in Australia.
