Week 9: Carnevale Assembly and Parade (Friday 26th June)
FROM THE LEADERSHIP TEAM
From the Principal - Catherine O'Dea
Welcome to Term 2. I hope you all had a safe and happy holiday with your children.
Over the break, I was fortunate to travel to Portugal and London. In Lisbon, I made a pilgrimage to Fatima, a place of deep significance where Our Lady appeared to three children in 1917, urging prayer for world peace. As we enter May, I encourage families to pray the Rosary together for peace in our world.
In London, I attended a moving Anzac Day service at Westminster Abbey, honouring Australian and New Zealand service members. It was a meaningful reminder that peace begins with each of us—through kindness and respect in our daily lives.
I also participated in the London Marathon alongside 59,000 runners. It was an inspiring experience, with people of all abilities and backgrounds coming together, many raising funds for charity—showing that determination and belief can achieve remarkable things.
Term 2 will be a busy and exciting time, with events such as St Patrick’s Sports Day this Friday, Catholic Education Week in Week 4, and National Reconciliation Week in Week 6.
I look forward to seeing you and your families at Sports Day.
Warm regards
Catherine

PBIS Whole School Reward
In Week 10 last term, our students reached an exciting milestone by filling one of our Whole School PBIS award boxes! This achievement reflects the way students consistently demonstrate our school values of being respectful, responsible, and resilient across all areas of school life.
As a reward, students enjoyed icy poles together—perfect after completing the Big Water Walk for Project Compassion.
Well done to all students, and we look forward to filling the next box together!

We invite the special women in our students' lives to join us for our Celebrating Special Women in our Lives Breakfast & Liturgy. This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate together, strengthen the bond between our school and community, and share in our Catholic identity through prayer and togetherness.
Date: Friday 8th May
Time: 8:30am - 9:00am
Location: School Gym
At 8:50am, all classes will make their way to the gym for a short liturgy led by our Year 2 students, followed by a song performed by our Reception-Year 2 classes.
We will also be running an optional raffle open to both families and staff, with three prizes up for grabs!
To ensure every student feels included and celebrated, all classes will receive a special treat of cookies or muffins to share on the day.

FINANCE NEWS
From the Finance Officer
We offer direct debit, BPay, EFTPOS and direct deductions from Centrelink to cater to the changing financial needs of our families at St Patrick’s School. School Card is applied for online. If you haven’t already applied for this year, please arrange as soon as possible as the cut-off date is early November. Instructions on how to do this are available at the front office.
School Card must be applied for each year.
