Curriculum

Developing confident and creative learners

We believe that every child is a capable learner. At St Patrick’s our curriculum aims to nurture the spiritual, academic, social and emotional wellbeing of every student in our care.

Underpinned by Australian Curriculum (ACARA), daily classroom work is designed to grow successful learners who are confident and creative individuals. We develop active and informed young people who contribute to society through their knowledge, skills, behaviours and mindset.

Our highly skilled teachers design meaningful and engaging learning programs. They clearly explain the intention of each program and measures that lead to success across these learning areas:

  • Religious Education
  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Humanities
  • Social Sciences
  • The Arts
  • Technologies
  • Health and Physical Education
  • Languages other than English

Right across our curriculum we weave in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures, Australia's engagement with Asia and Environmental Sustainability. This also reflect our Catholic teachings in social justice and respect for God’s creation.

Science, Technologies and Mathematics (STEM) is also deeply embedded in our learning. Our STEM teacher works alongside class teachers to develop critical and practical thinkers who can solve problems.

St Patrick’s School is fortunate to have specialist teachers who provide broader educational opportunities for our students in:

  • Performing Arts (Music and Drama),
  • Languages (Vietnamese or Italian)
  • Physical Education (PE)
