Josephite spirituality

St Patrick's School is a school in the Tradition of the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Sacred Heart and offers a Catholic education based on the Josephite spirituality.

The founder of this congregation of Sisters, St Mary of the Cross MacKillop established Catholic Schools to educate children in  the faith of the Catholic Church. Over many years the religious sisters established many Catholic Schools in South Australia.

In 1964, the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart established St Patrick's School and for 44 years, the congregation of Sisters appointed a Sister of St. Joseph of the Sacred Heart as a Principal. Today, led by a lay Principal, St Patrick's School continues to offer an education based on the values and spirituality of the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart and is one of 23 Josephite primary schools in South Australia.

Our School motto is 'Omnibus Caritas' which is Latin for 'In All Things Love' and the four main values of the Josephite Spirituality are: Love, Justice, Dignity & Freedom through education.
